Live, Interactive Online Courses!
All courses through the Center for Writing Excellence are in a live, online format. Take the course in the comfort of your own home or office. All you need is a computer, speakers and microphone (headsets work best for this, but are not necessary) and Internet access. You will also need to have SKYPE (free) installed on your computer. Your instructor will come to you through the computer for live, one-on-one interaction throughout the four hours of the module or course. Courses run in the mornings, on a day of your choice. Start time is 8:00 AM (Mountain Time). Each module or course will end by noon (Mountain Time).

Creating Characters that Speak
Duration: 4 hours (one module) online instruction where you can create characters and teach them to speak in REAL time with a live instructor from the comfort of your own home or office.
Cost: $100
Description: Participants in this course will learn ten steps to creating a room full of fiction characters that can be modified to be used in any fiction story or novel. Once the characters are settled in, it is time to teach them how to talk, and the second part of this course will do just that. The course includes a free e-copy of my workbook: Creating Characters That Speak. Participants may also purchase a hard copy of the work book for $10.00. Blogging Made Easy
Duration: 4 hours (one module) online instruction where you can create your very own blog in REAL time with a live instructor from the comfort of your own home or office.
Cost: $100
Description: Explore blogging solutions, learn how to create a professional looking WordPress blog site you can use to connect with your friends and family. Learn about widgets and how they can improve the functionality of the blog. Post your photos, share them with friends and family. Plan family events using one central location.
